Current Openings

Paramedic:

Schedule: 24/48 @ $40,338 (+)

Pre-Reqs:  Must be state certified/licensed by TDSHS as a Paramedic. 

Prefer: Current ACLS, PALS, PHTLS or BTLS. 

Process: Applicants are subject to a competitive hiring process which includes:

1) written national standard exam

2) Physical Fitness Test

3) Oral Board Interview

4) Medical Evaluation by licensed M.D.

5) Drug Screening

 

EMT-Basic (PRN - Employee)

Schedule: may be both 24 hour shift as well as 10hr shifts (peak staffing)

Prefer: 1 year experience with 911 system

Process:  SAA

Washington is continuously looking for self motivated and hard working paramedics and EMTs. With competitive benefits and salaries to include:

  • Merit evaluation annual pay raises. Employees are eligible for "merit" or "evaluation" pay raises every year.  Merit amount is set by County Commissioners.  In 2007 Merit amount is 2-5% pay raise.
